Moving Venue Adds A Green Levy to their Sustainability Pledge

Monday, May 15, 2023 - 13:45

Moving Venue’s newest addition to their sustainability pledge, a Green Levy, offers their clients the opportunity to incorporate CSR and environmental efforts into their event easily and effectively, ensuring they can continue to work with clients to truly deliver sustainable events.

Moving Venue cater exceptional events with as little negative impact on our environment as possible. They aim to deliver ‘Impact without Impact’ in many ways, including addressing the responsible use of local resources, the integrity of their supply chain, developing talent from within, the health and wellbeing of their colleagues and clients, and minimising any harmful effect that they have on the environment. They are truly dedicated to creating a more sustainable events and hospitality industry.

They were recently delighted to announce their Green Levy, a discretionary £0.50 per guest charge added to each event cost. This enables clients to easily contribute toward the offsetting of their event’s carbon emissions and donate to global causes through B1G1, an impactful global giving movement, with different worthy causes supported each quarter. The impacts can be accessed on a live dashboard on their website, displaying tallies for the effects of their client’s support.

Since becoming a partner of B1G1 in March of this year, Moving Venue have already supported a number of causes, such as supplying a year’s worth of sanity products and sexual awareness education to 85 girls in Kenya and they’re looking forward to seeing the further impact the introduction of this levy will have.
